Ambassador Ronen Krausz held a series of meetings with Christian leaders in Azerbaijan, reflecting the country’s rich tradition of interfaith dialogue and mutual respect.

At the Orthodox Religious and Cultural Center, he met with Bishop Aleksiy of Baku and Azerbaijan, where they discussed the life of the Orthodox community and Azerbaijan’s model of interreligious dialogue. On a separate meeting, the Ambassador met with Protoiereus Mefodi Afandiyev of the Church of Archangel Michael, continuing the exchange on the role of the Orthodox community in Azerbaijan’s multicultural society.

He also met with Bishop Vladimir Fekete at the Apostolic Prefecture of the Catholic Church, where the discussion focused on the life of the Catholic community in Azerbaijan, the high level of interfaith cooperation, and the state’s care and attention toward the Catholic Church.
